How does the artwork get designed?
We start with your event graphic, local artwork, landmark, logo, or photo and transform it into a paint-by-number design. Our designers preserve important community and sponsor elements, and your team reviews the final proof before production.
What sizes are available?
For smaller events, 5- or 10-foot murals are often appropriate. For large-scale community festivals with 50,000 to 300,000 attendees, murals can range from 10 to 30 feet and even exceed 100 feet in length. We can design a mural for any event, supply all painting materials, provide setup and facilitation guidance, or offer on-site facilitation services.
How many people can participate?
A 5-foot mural can accommodate three or four painters at a time and is usually appropriate for events with fewer than 300 people. We can also construct larger murals that engage tens of thousands of people across an event. Total participation depends on the event duration, mural location, guest flow, and other factors.
What comes with the mural?
The complete package includes your custom paint-by-number mural, numbered paints, brushes, accessories, and setup guidance. Materials vary by size and use: some large-scale outdoor murals use different materials than smaller murals so they can withstand the elements. On-site facilitation is optional.
Can volunteers or event staff run the mural?
Yes. Volunteers or event staff can run the activation using the complete package and setup guidance, or Paintable Pictures can provide on-site support and facilitation when the event needs it.
How far ahead should we start?
Standard production takes about 20 days, and rush options are always available for near-term projects.
