About Paintable Pictures
We design and produce custom paint-by-number murals for events and brand activations.
Paintable Pictures was founded in 2020 by Pat Carroll and Peter Schrock. Coming from backgrounds in technology and product development, Pat and Peter set out to create "wow" products that transform images into paintable designs anyone can complete—no painting skill required.
It all began with a simple arts and crafts product that allowed customers to transform photos into custom paint-by-number kits. The product went viral, was selected for Oprah's Favorite Things, and was sold through thousands of retail stores, including Target, HomeGoods, and QVC. You can still find Paintable Pictures consumer products in stores across the United States.
In 2023, Paintable Pictures developed a new offering for large-scale events and marketing, where one interactive painting can engage hundreds or even thousands of people at a time. Today, we create custom paint-by-number murals for brands, agencies, sporting events, festivals, and anyone seeking a fun, collaborative "wow" moment.
